Samagra Vision | Philosophy | Practical applications | Dharma | Sat-Chit-Ananda | The journey begins | Human striving | The pilgrim | Stagnation & fear of death | Focus & forward movement | Integral living | The experience-8 components | 3 principles | 9 actions for change | Implementation

Three Principles

Principle of Neha or Affection - Communication- Co-operation-Co-existence:
Neha, or affection, is a state of being affected by whatever happens within and without
Principle of Unity - Ignorance-Awareness-Insight:
Ekatva, or unity, is a state of living where our actions and behavior match our words and thoughts.
Principle of Movement:
Even when we perceive a thing as static, it is actually full of movement which our eyes can't detect. Horizontal movement helps us grow, an essential part of living that brings quantitative widening within a person and outside.
Vertical movement is a never ending journey. It is an endless pilgrimage into the boundless and infinite. Integral Movement, based on integral awareness, will have the energy necessary to transform the person and the world at large, to establish integral living.
Thus the process of movement involves questioning, dialogue, new possibilities and realizations.

Nine Actions to Initiate Change

Seva:
Seva, or service, to oneself, family, society, country and the earth develops much broader vision and resilience to face life’s storms.
Study and Contemplation:
By studying we know about the changing realities of the world outside and we also become acquainted with the inner world of body and mind. By contemplating we apply critical thinking to what was studied.
Observation:
Observation is the process of developing awareness both within and outside of the person.
Experimentation:
to move forward, discover new paths and experiment required courage.
Ceremony and Worship:
As we go deeper into ceremony and worship, prayer and meditation, the process becomes more alive, revealing the inner nature of the mind.
Asana or Poses:
With asana or poses, we can bring a specific expression of energy into the body.
Pranayama or Breathing:
Whatever we do with breathe is going to be connected with the present moment. We can intentionally use it to achieve certain states of body and mind.
Dhayan or Meditation:
Meditation is the path and process of realization of one’s individual and universal biological potential.
Pilgrimage and Fasting:
Fasting has the same effects as pilgrimage - bringing new insights into our own being and breaking down the structure of the old self to take us to new dimensions of living.

At Samagra, through Courses which include dialogue, meditation, and yoga,
it is our intention to honour the body, its relationship to mind and spirit,
and its unity with all that is,
and through voluntary Outreach Programs,
to serve family, community, country, earth and nature.
